And so, the pressure cooker that’s been on since 2015 finally blew. Charlie Kirk has been assassinated by some 50+ year-old leftist radical. Details are still unclear, but they don’t really matter.
On the heels of the most disgusting and vile killing I have ever seen online, that of an innocent girl at the hands of a barbarian fit for execution by military firing squad within 12 hours, comes the killing of the most prominent moderate Right conservative “influencer” in the US and arguably even wider.
There is not much to say, most should be obvious. The moderate solution, which has been out the window since 2020, has now been additionally burned. As shocking as the death of Kirk is, it was bound to happen. Moderates who parade around with politically charged youths on campuses, looking for a “debate”. It was a matter of time - although I never thought it would be done by a near-grandpa. As for the murder of Iryna Zarutska I have no words, only boiling rage. Imagine how many more such cases, tens and hundreds of thousands across the US and Europe never to be seen.
The US administration better get its act together. The most powerful country on the planet can’t keep going on like this. In a different world, Trump would declare martial law nation-wide and start putting boots on the ground. Clear the cities, clear the agencies, the institutions, the programs, all the way down. He should be the last president and the first Ceasar. Of course, that probably won’t happen. All eyes on him now. Get a grip and seize power! No more debates, no more moderate this or that. Your enemies are killing you, their political opponents! There is no point to go into deep discussion about liberal democracy or political freedoms and so on. This is where it gets you in the end, so it doesn’t matter.
We are at war. Everywhere we are at war. In every Western nation there is a war going on for the future of this great land. It is fought in the streets when Muslims ram Christmas markets in Germany or rape girls in the UK. It is fought when political commentators get brutally murdered in the US or when BLM burn down cities while women get stabbed like animals. Enough of this!
There will be calls to “not resort to violence” and to “lower the temperature”. Too late now. That bullet might have just crossed the Rubicon.
